Non-destructive testing laboratory ZZBO

What is non-destructive testing?

Non-destructive testing is quality control and diagnostics of the operating parameters of a critical object or its individual elements using gentle methods, without destroying or changing its physical properties. Non-destructive testing is carried out for the purposes of industrial safety, as well as the safe operation of the facility.

Non-destructive testing laboratory ZZBO

There are many methods of non-destructive testing, we use three main and most reliable:

Visual and measuring control (VIC) – carried out with the aim of identifying defects in welded joints, geometric seam breaks, and assessing their quality visually and using measuring instruments.

Ultrasonic testing (UT) – allows you to identify internal defects in the welded joint without destroying it.

Penetrant control (PVK) – used to detect surface defects in welded joints and determine their extent and orientation.
Depending on the type of equipment and the requirements for its production and operation, the required method of non-destructive testing is selected, and from the description of the above methods one can easily understand what is the most critical component in the production of ZZBO and TEPLO equipment - AND THESE ARE WELDED JOINTS.

What non-destructive testing methods are used for this equipment:

The application of the above methods in non-destructive testing is carried out using special measuring instruments and tools, depending on the type of weld, the design of the product and the requirements for their manufacture and operation. The implementation of these control methods occurs in strict accordance with regulatory rules; each method has its own GOST.

For this equipment we use Visual and measuring control (VIC).

When applying the method VIK The following tools are used:

  • straight ruler LM-150;
  • welding template USHS-3 and Usherov-Marshak template for measuring the dimensions of welded joints;
  • caliper ShTs-1 150 (for measuring diameters and thicknesses);
  • measuring tape 3-10m (for determining linear dimensions);
  • a set of feeler gauges (for measuring gaps);
  • lamps;
  • test square UP 160x100mm (to determine the perpendicularity of the arrangement of parts relative to each other);
  • template radius 32 pcs. ;
  • measuring magnifier LI 3-10x (for assessing small defects in welded joints)
  • Luximeter "TKA-Lux" (to determine the degree of illumination in the control zone)

Why do we need a laboratory?

The presence of a certified non-destructive testing laboratory guarantees the buyer a high level of industrial safety at the operation site and a long service life of the equipment.
The ZZBO non-destructive testing laboratory is certified and has a certificate (No. LNK-056A0310 valid until March 10, 2026) to conduct non-destructive testing and diagnostics for steam and hot water boilers, internal gas pipelines of steel and metal structures (including: Steel bridge structures)
