What is a "skip"? Why is it needed?

A skip (from the English Skip - bucket, bucket) is a lifting device in the form of a bucket, which is lifted by a winch along inclined guides to the concrete mixer. Skip option for supplying inert materials to concrete mixer is an alternative to another method of delivering components - conveyor. There are two main reasons for installing a skip hoist:

Lack of production area, which makes it impossible to use inert feed conveyor (for conveying RBU required area at least half as much for placing the conveyor);
The need to quickly set up a concrete plant, e.g. type "COMPACT", which is ready for work within a few hours after unloading at a new location.
